On a scale of 1 to fuck off…
This could literally mean anything.
You like someone and they are good to you – Keep them around.
You have someone in your life, they treat you like shit and make you miserable – Tell them to fuck off.
But, I am not here to discuss your relationship with you.
Well, actually I am, but not your sexual relationship……
Your relationship with the scale.
Here is a question for you…..
When you are trying your best to lose weight and the scale shows you gained 200g….
How does that make you feel?
● Does it make you feel despondent?
● Make you feel like all your hard work was for nothing?
● Does it make you think “Fuck this shit, weight loss is not for me?”
If you answered yes to any of the above, tell the scale to fuck off for a bit.
Stop getting on it everyday.
(It is not your boyfriend or girlfriend)
There are so many factors that influence the scale that you are not even aware of. All you see is a 200g increase, and this could lead you to give up, and that is the last thing that we want. The number could be affected by:
● A high carb week
● Water retention
● Your menstrual cycle
● Higher stress levels than normal
● And so much more
If getting on the damn thing everyday is getting to you, here are some other, much better ways of measuring your progress:
- Measure your body – Centimetres don’t lie.
- Are you clothes fitting loser?
- Do you have in increased level of energy?
- Are you more positive, do you feel happier?
If you answered yes to any of these, then that means that you ARE making progress! #FuckTheScale
